Pax Autocratica Gameplay: Colony Management Meets First-Person Expeditions

Quick answer

Pax Autocratica combines colony management with first-person roguelite combat. The base runs citizens, resources, production and research; expeditions send you into first-person fights that return resources or captured enemies.

The colony-management layer

Citizens perform the work that keeps the colony alive: mining, gathering, hauling, research and manufacturing of weapons, armor, food and supplies.

Production chains start with raw extraction and flow through hauling and research into finished goods that equip both the base and your expedition soldiers.

The expedition layer

Expeditions are first-person roguelite combat. You lead soldiers out, fight hostile ships, infantry, tanks, mechs, elites and sector overlords, and collect cores, resources and new citizens.

Attacks range from bullets and lasers to missiles, drones, artillery and bullet-hell patterns, so loadouts and positioning matter during a run.

How the two sides connect

The colony supplies the soldiers, gear and logistics that make expeditions possible.

Expedition results — resources, cores and captured enemies — flow back into the colony and drive its growth. This loop is the heart of the game.
